A group of leading architects, urban designers and sustainability experts have been appointed to provide independent advice on the design of future development in Royal Greenwich.
The Greenwich Design Review Panel will help to shape development by providing advice and feedback on new buildings, landscapes and public spaces in the early stages of design.
The panel will review proposals for significant schemes including sites with groups of buildings, public realm schemes, masterplans and major transport projects to ensure they deliver inclusive, sustainable and high quality design.

You have one more week to share your views on proposed changes to the borough’s Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) charges.
CIL helps to pay for important infrastructure and community facilities across Royal Greenwich from roads and transport to schools and doctors’ surgeries.
CIL was vital in funding the new Elizabeth line station in Woolwich. It’s also helped to support a wealth of small projects across the entire borough: upgrading community centres, sports facilities and parks, playground equipment and so much more.
Give your feedback by 25 September: royalgreenwich.gov.uk/cil-consultation
You have until 5pm on Tuesday 5 September to have your say in our Local Plan consultation.
We’re asking residents, businesses and community groups to help shape the future of development in Royal Greenwich.
The Local Plan is the Council’s main planning document, which is used to manage development such as new homes and business space for people to work and shop. It includes policies to ensure that any development in the borough is supported by essential infrastructure such as schools and doctors surgeries, and helps the Council to tackle climate change and improve air quality.
In the first phase of consultation, the Council is asking people about what’s important to them in a number of key areas, such as housing, transport, the local economy and climate change. The feedback will be used to help produce a first draft of the new plan for further consultation next summer.
